Julian Wilson wanted a fun little board for smaller or fatter waves, that allowed him to still drive and bust airs. The result, the 'Chubby Checka'.

The Chubby Checka has been designed as a smaller wave board you can have fun on and still rip the bag out of it, if you are feeling up to it. The nose rocker is low to get things up and going, with the tail rocker of a performance board allowing the board to still get vertical and whippy when needed. The outline is very chubby, this is where a lot of planning speed comes from. The rail volume is similar to a normal board so you can feel the rail in the water, preventing things from becoming too boaty. Single concave throughout, with a decent double under the back foot making it easy to roll over from rail to rail. Generally I have been doing these in a wide rounded square to keep the tail free, also feels good as a swallow tail. Three fin set up.
