JS Surfboards
Many years ago Down the Line introduced JS surfboards into the UK. Back then JS was a relatively unknown up and coming shaper. Since those early days JS Industries has become one of the most respected names in the world of performance surfboards. Jason Stevenson (founder, owner and shaper) has built the company from the ground up and his talents and love of surfing have gained him global recognition and some strong relationships with a loyal team of world beating surfers. The iconic traktor logo can be seen under many of the top 33's feet, noteably Joel Parkinson and Jack Freestone, respectively ASP World Champ and World Junior Champ for 2012.
JS and Parko's long and productive relationship has seen JS surfboards reach new levels in both surfing and shaping performance. Jason's work coming into 2013 is at its absolute best. The Down The Line team were over in Australia at JS earlier in the year and have brought the latest and best selling models to you for the coming season...
Jason Stevenson has made a point of spending time shaping outside of his native Australia, particularly Hawaii, to bring an added awareness of how to make boards that work in different conditions around the world.
In his own words: "I started surfing at age five and I'm still addicted. I've been very fortunate in that I've lived the dream of surfing, travelling, competing, and now shaping for the world's best surfers. There's nothing better than seeing the somone really stoked on one of my shapes. The current JS models are the culmination of my life experiences, feedback from our dream-team, and highly skilled, trusted craftsmen fighting for the cause. It's a wonderful feeling to be at the forefront of rapid technological growth - its an exciting time!"
