Warriors of Winter Competition | Win a Custom Board

DTL Warriors of Winter Comp

The British winter can be a cruel mistress. But out of the depths of darkest winter, amongst the wind and rain, shine rare moments of perfection. It’s not easy scoring good waves in Britain, waiting for the perfect combination of wind, tide and swell. Phoning in sick for work, rearranging date night, making sure you have no plans whatsoever. Anything and everything to ensure that you’re there when that spot fires up for a brief window of euphoria. However, the hardships we endure make the rewards all the more sweet. There’s nothing better than scoring epic waves on home soil.

We all know the winter season can be long and cold, so to make it seem less of a drag, and to add some extra stoke into the winter sessions, we are launching the Down The Line Warriors Of Winter competition in an attempt to find the best waves ridden in the UK this winter.

Win A Custom Surfboard!

The winner and overall champion of winter will win a custom board of their choice from any of the shapers that we stock*. There will be more prizes along the way, as well as a special award for the best wave surfed in Cornwall.

A clean winter wave

Your wave must be in the UK and during 28th October to 31st March (when the clocks change). We’ll be judging each month and will release a monthly highlight reel of our favourites.

All surfing styles and all wave types are encouraged, and if you have any heavy wipeouts we would love to see those too…

This competition is not open to sponsored surfers, sorry folks!

The finalists will be sent to our international judging panel, we will announce their identities soon.

We also understand the importance of keeping secret spots…secret. We will not publish the location of any spots considered secret although we may need to confirm they are indeed UK waves.
