The AIR 17 is a fast and forgiving performance shortboard, to allow progressive surfing in everyday waves. A key element in this new model is the larger sweet spot through the central part of the board. The volume of the AIR 17 has been redirected towards the front foot making it thicker towards the front, coupled with the deep single concave into double, this allows for quick drive and acceleration right from take off. The overall combination of softer rails, a flatter rocker through the middle (which allows it that larger sweet spot), deeper concaves and extra curve in the nose and tail make a performance shortboard that will give you a fast and forgiving ride.
Rails - The AIR 17 has medium full rails, helping to reduce catch from chop or soft sections
Wave Height - Will work in all types of waves in the 1-5ft range
Rocker - A flatter rocker extending through the middle of the board (particularly under front foot) allows a nice sweet spot to add forgiveness and ease of generating speed, while late curve in the nose and tail provides an ideal balance of release and maneuverability.
Concave - A single concave starting at the nose runs into a double concave that starts in front of the fins and deepens out through the fins.
Glassing Specs - Standard glassing with 4 x 4oz. deck with 4oz. bottom
Tail Hits - All sizes come with Hybrid fibre tail strips
