JS Monsta 6 Surfboard

There's no two ways about it, the Monsta 3 was, and still is, a fantastic surfboard. At Down the Line Surf Co. we have sold tens and tens of them, and have never had negative feedback... which is very rare in the surfing world. If you're anything from a competent to pro surfer, the Monsta 3 would have provided the goods to tackle decent waves in the 2 - 6 ft range. Now, for 2016 and after 3 years of development with the likes of Parko, Julian Wilson, Owen Wright and Dusty Payne, JS has upped his game again and brought out the Monsta 6.

The main differences are a slightly deeper overall concave and a smoother continued rocker compared to previous models. There's also a touch more curve in the tail rocker and very slightly fuller and softer rails. Jason reckons that all of these features combine to create the best Monsta yet, and that's saying something!

Waves: The Monsta 6 will work best in good or powerful waves in the 2 - 6ft range

Rocker: The combination of slight entry rocker and medium exit rocker have proven themselves to create a perfect balance of drive and release

Glassing Specs: All Monsta 6's are glassed as standard with 2 x 4oz deck + 4oz bottom.

Concave: A single concave starting at the nose, which runs into a double concave starting just in front of the fins

Rails: The Monsta 6 has medium rails

Stringer: The Monsta 6 now has a carbon strip running along the stringer for enhanced strength
