As the name suggests, Lost's V2 Rocket is a variation on their hugely popular Rocket model - in the words of Matt Biolos, "one of the most well known and knocked off surfboard models in recent memory."
The Rocket V2 has a bit less tail rocker, with less concave through he fins which creates a faster rail line under foot. Matt Biolos has also deepened the concave out of the tail as well. The soft wing facilitates quick redirection off the top and off the bottom whilst providing more control in bowly sections. Biolos has also moved the points of the diamond up a bit and made the angle closer to the Stealth tail.
The nose rocker is bent up more in the last 12″ (to balance the lower TR and keep from poking) and the concave is brought further forward (to compensate for more NR and also further elongating the rail line for more front foot drive) and help with even faster out the gate take rides.
The tail rail is sculpted in a more pronounced way, adding a touch of double concave under the rear foot, as well as a low, square and boxy tail rail. Biolos has also made the nose a touch wider through the 12-18′ mark.
Overall, an easier board to ride for an average surfer in sub-par waves, facilitating more down the line drive and losing some the skateboard kick tail feel.
The Rocket has been one of the world's most popular boards over the last 5 years and has been widely borrowed from, but not duplicated. It obviously has merit and worked well for thousands of surfers, but there was room for improvement. Lost used the feedback from the average joe to update and refine what wasn't broken.

Terms and Conditions.
We stock the largest range of surfboards in the country. However if you can't find what you're looking for then why not get one made just for you, exactly how you want it?
We offer a custom order service on any Channel Islands, Lost, Pukas and Christenson* surfboards. We are the only AAA account holder in the UK for these boards. What does that mean to you? Well, it means that all of our custom boards are ordered and made under highest priority, which means less waiting time for you. We have the fastest turn around of any shop in the country, with an estimated board completion time of 4-5 weeks*.
You can customise the board any way you want. You decide on:-
We also offer a bespoke board ordering service for Bing, and Canvas surfboards. These boards will take longer as they are hand shaped and finished in California before being shipped (like actually on a boat dude!). As a rough guide we bring boards in from California 2-3 times a year, but it's best to contact us for the current import status.
Going to the other side of the world, we take custom orders on JS,DHD and Vouch surfboards. These boards are built at the respective factories in Australia and sent over along with our stock orders.. Again, 2 - 3 times a year.
Some customisations will of course incur an additional fee, ie.sprays, carbon etc.. in which case we'll advise.
If you want to place a custom order, or just want to have a chat to find out more, give us a call on +44 (0)1736 757025 or drop us an email.
When we've agreed on exactly what you want, and you're ready to place an order, we'll need a £100 deposit to secure your board until the joyful day if arrives... bringing with it 4-6ft waves and offshore winds....just like every time you buy a new board... right?
*4-5 weeks is an average time for completion. However we cannot be responsible for delays beyond our control (transport, force majeure, etc.). We will however contact you if we have any information regarding the unlikely event that your board will not be made and returned in an agreed time period. Christenson surfboards take up to 10 weeks for completion.
