Mick Fanning says the Utopia is the fastest board he has ever ridden! The Utopia was created whilst Darren and Mick were experimenting with new designs for the MF Twin. It began as a happy accident when Mick had the wrong fin set for what was at the time intended to be a 2+1, this happened to perform unbelievably well. The Utopia features a fin placement which is clustered together more like a twin fin, this translates into more speed and power without the unpredictability of a twinny.
The Utopia has quickly become a team favourite: Liam O'Brien, also praised it as the fastest and most stable board he has ever ridden. Featuring a wider nose and super squashed tail, it glides from section to section and is controlled throughout turns. The Utopia is a performance shortboard designed for aggressive high performance surfing in everyday waves.
